Abstract Submission Platform

This congress offers the opportunity to present your scientific work.

The submission period for abstracts will end on 20/02/2026.

General information & requirements

• All selected abstracts will be invited to present a poster at the symposium
• The theme should be related to tropical diseasesclinical studies, research, or clinical case reports.
• We allow abstract already presented in other conferences.
• Abstracts should meet universal ethical standards.
• The total length text must not exceed 350 words.
• The submitting author will be the contact author. She/he will be notified via email of the submission’s acceptance or rejection before 9/03/2026.
• The first author needs to register and attend the symposium.
• The author of the best abstract will be invited to give an oral presentation and will receive an award.This award consists of a travel grant to NECTM10 covering congress attendance, a flight ticket, and hotel accommodation for three nights.
• All the accepted abstracts will have the possibility to become posters, which will be displayed at the SBIMC-BVIKM SPRING SYMPOSUM 2026 and presented in a poster round during lunchtime.
• All the accepted abstracts will be published during 1 year on the BVIKM-SBIMC website

How to write an abstract?

1. Title: Must be short and specific. Type in sentence format, in bold font.
2. Introduction: The first sentences should state the hypothesis, purpose of the study.
3. Methods:  Briefly describe the study design, patients or subjects, procedures, and measurements
4. Results: A summary of the results should be provided with relevant data.
5. Conclusion: The abstract should close with a brief statement of conclusion.
6. References: If included, cite number in text using square brackets. In reference list, then journal name, volume, page range and year of publication. (e.g., Jones P. et al. BVIKM-SBIMC News 1:1-5, 2025)
7. Table/Figure: A maximum of 1 table OR 1 figure can be included. All tables/figures must be cited in the text. Tables can have a maximum of 5 columns and 8 rows. Figures must be submitted in jpg or png.
