TERMS & GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION

PREAMBLE
These Terms & General Conditions are valid for all registered participants to the Congress announced on this website.

REGISTRATION TO THE CONGRESS
The registration deadlines for the Congress are announced on the web.
If the maximum capacity of attendees is reached for the Live Event (not virtual, that is), the organization reserves the right to reject any further requests for registration. Any type of claim regarding participation in the Congress is excluded.
Registration for the Congress includes:
Admission to all scientific sessions held in the congress center and exhibition area.
Registration fees: The current prices that appear on the website at the time of registration will apply. The price is detailed next to the inscription forms. VAT is included.
Early Bird discount last until October 1st 2022. For registration after 1 October 2022 an additional 30 euros will be charged.
Confirmation: with every registration, a confirmation receipt email will be forwarded to the participant, with the exception that the application is received during the weekends or holidays. You will receive confirmation during the following working day.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancelling 30 days prior to the Congress will involve a 10% penalty. Cancelling between 30 days and 8 days prior to the Congress will involve a 50% penalty. Cancellations after this term of notice will not be refundable in any case.

Refunds will be credited only to the person/entity who paid for the original registration.
In the event of changes in the name of the person attending, we will only accept members of the same Health Institution. Changes will be charged with an added processing fee of 20€.
In accordance with current regulations on consumer rights and retail management, the attendee, whenever considered a consumer, will not be able to exercise the right of withdrawal since the supply of services related to leisure activities are not applicable to the norm.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
Attendees are solely and exclusively responsible for any visa requirements that may apply.

LETTER OF INVITATION
Upon request, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee will be pleased to send a personal letter of invitation to registered participants so as to enable participants to obtain visas for attending the Congress. These invitation letters cannot be considered as an offer of financial support by the organisers and will only be provided to registered participants once the payment has been received.

MODIFICATION OF THE CONGRESS PROGRAM
The organisation reserves the right to modify the program which is published solely as an indication. Refunds will not be granted in case the program is modified (including the change of speakers).

CANCELLATION OF THE CONGRESS
In the event that the live Congress cannot be carried out due to reasons beyond the control of the conference committee organizing the Congress and/or JABCO (force majeure) or due to reasons that are not attributable to intent or negligence by the conference committee organizing the Congress and/or JABCO, neither the conference committee organizing the Congress nor JABCO will be made liable for any damages, costs or financial losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs , etc.

ACCESS
Admission to the Congress premises will be granted to registered attendees only.
Companions and children will not have access to the Congress.
Seating in session rooms is limited.
Refunds will not be made when there are no free seats in a given room. Its the attendee’s responsibility to access the session rooms sufficiently in advance. During the registration process, each participant must accept the General Terms and Conditions described here in accordance with the GDPR regulations to register for the Congress.
You may exercise of your right of access, rectification and deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and right to oppose automated individual decision-making at any time. Please send your request to: contact@benlinfectioncongress.be.

IMAGES & FOOTAGE The Congress may be recorded to be broadcast through different channels, therefore attendees may appear on the footage captured.
If you don’t wish to appear in the recordings, please keep in mind that you must communicate this in advance.
All footage and contents recorded during the conferences are property of the organizing committee. Attendees will be able to upload photos of the event to the Internet, but its forbidden to record videos or audios of the conferences or publish them on any of the existing video platforms, social media, etc.

LIABILITY
By registering for the Congress and/or by participating in the exhibition joined to the Congress, participants and exhibitors agree that the Organising Committee or the Congress Secretariat do not assume any responsibility for damage or injuries to persons or property during the Congress. Participants and exhibitors are advised to organize their own health, travel and personal insurances.

ABSTRACT
The assistant, once registered to the Congress, has the option of presenting an abstract or paper. On the website you will find available all the requirements and guidelines to follow in the event of a presentation.
Likewise, if an attendee is the main author of an abstract or paper sent to the Congress (be it a presentation, oral communication, poster, etc.), acceptance of these terms and conditions imply that express authorization and consent is granted by:
— All other co-authors of the abstract or paper presented at the Congress in order to include their data
(email, work center, professional category, etc.)
— Institution or institutions (hospital, clinic, university, etc.) that appear in the abstract or paper presented at the Congress to include data, statistics, results, procedures, etc. that have been produced or have taken place in them.
The Organizing Committee organizing the congress and JABCO will not be liable of any lack of diligence from of the assistant to the Congress and their obligation to obtain said consent.

SECURITY
Access to this website is the sole responsibility of the users. It implies acceptance and knowledge of the legal warnings, conditions and terms of use contained therein. The provider reserves the right to make, at any time, as many changes and modifications as it deems convenient and necessary without prior notice. This website is used in accordance to the generally accepted standards of the industry, such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptographic mechanisms, all in order to prevent unauthorized techniques of access to information security data.
